MATEO, THE 'LITTLE HURRY' – VOL. I

MATEO, THE 'LITTLE HURRY' – VOL. I

Author Sandra Fiuza's book recounts the gripping saga of Matteo, a baby born during the pandemic that shook the planet. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with the same virus as his twin brother, who, sadly, did not survive. This story alone could fill several volumes. For this project, we chose a palette of vibrant and warm colors to illustrate the happiest moments and triumphs of the protagonist. Meanwhile, the book's more dramatic moments are depicted in cool, somber tones.
The Creation Process of the Covers for the book 'Matteo, the 'Hasty One' - Vol I'

The initial concept of the project 'Matteo, the 'Hasty One' – Volume I' was related to the symbolism of boxes, understood metaphorically as places of protection. The maternal womb, for example, is like a 'little box' that provides complete security to the baby against external dangers. As mentioned earlier, the essence of this volume is permeated by the metaphor of boxes, representing the various scenarios in which the protagonist of the story finds himself. With a touch of poetic freedom, I developed sketches of a large box to illustrate on the book's most prominent space, the covers, all the moments experienced by Matteo, from his birth to his arrival at home.
